Video for class


The video above will be used for one of the final two critique assignments. If you have already presented your in class critique you should watch the video to be able to participate in the discussion for Week 8.

  3. Check out the links above pertaining to social media, privacy and freedom. While the video suggests that dictatorships allow social media freedom so that they can control the message, they are also doing what they can to block usage. And when they do allow it, as the video says, they use the information available for their own purposes. We are an open information society. Perhaps because we live now in a very "politically correct" society where we are expected to have opinions and thoughts that are approved by the masses, we are thirsty for an outlet of individuality and open honesty. Many times too honest and open. Has societies' strictness on face to face politeness caused this explosion of virtual TMI? Thoughts?
