After reading chps. 7-9, I have a better understanding about the functions and operations of how media is presented and communicated. For instance, I now understand why one of the radio stations that I listen to is not formulated from a local aspect even though St. Louis has their own staff and participation in each daily segment. The show that came to mind is the Rickey Smiley morning show that is based out of Dallas.
